Salary:

The salary for this position will be based on the approved teacher salary schedule, with a starting salary of $55,000 per year, and increasing to $75,000 per year with experience and education. The salary will be paid bi-weekly, and benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plans.

Job Description:

As an Academic Content Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Teaching English Language Arts to middle school students, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening
• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current Alabama teacher certificate in Elementary Education
• A bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
• Strong organizational and time management skills
