About the Role:

The Program Advisor I - Mental Health for Tennessee will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of mental health programs in Tennessee. This position will work closely with local partners to identify and address the mental health needs of children and families in the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessments and develop program plans to address mental health issues affecting children and families in Tennessee.
  • Collaborate with local partners, including schools, community organizations, and healthcare providers, to implement mental health programs and services.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to local partners to ensure the effective implementation of mental health programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of mental health programs and services, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in mental health programming and share knowledge with local partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or public health.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mental health programming, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health issues affecting children and families, as well as best practices in program development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Tennessee, with occasional travel to national meetings and conferences.
