Warehouse Support Technician

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse systems and equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for warehouse systems and equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, pick-to-belt operations, and other material handling systems.
- Collaborate with other functional areas to identify system integration opportunities and implement process improvements.
- Manage and maintain spare parts inventory and report as required to ensure systems are ready for production.
- Develop and implement advanced processes for preventive maintenance and equipment performance optimization.
- Provide training for distribution center employees on procedures and MHE systems.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other industry-related curriculum.
- 5 or more years of work experience in Warehouse Operations & Support.
- 3 or more years of work experience in Warehouse Technical Support.
- Working knowledge of PLC operations and PLC electrical panels.
- Working knowledge of Compressed Air systems and Storage and Retrieval Machines (SRMs).
- Working knowledge of spirals and sliding shoe sorters, Motor starters, overloads, and basic wiring.
- MS Office and other general desktop software experience required.
- Must have some experience with conveyor systems, pick-to-belt operations, and other MHE systems, including software such as Warehouse Control Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, and not limited to Lift Systems Management Systems and Maintenance Tracking Software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and change direction on short notice.
- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime, and weekends.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
