Position Overview:
The Senior Packaging Engineer plays a crucial role in analyzing intricate business challenges that can be addressed using SAP (ECC and S/4 HANA) along with other relevant business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical insights in identifying, assessing, and formulating systems and procedures that are cost-efficient, enhance business performance, and fulfill user needs.
Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit and integration testing; and develop specifications for systems to align with business requirements.
Possess design, configuration, and functional expertise in the MM/PP modules, with a beneficial understanding of additional SAP modules.
Essential Skills:
Comprehend the manufacturing and production planning aspects of the business and how SAP can be effectively utilized to achieve business goals.
Engage in solution design for all initiatives within the manufacturing and production planning functional domains, including related integrations.
Demonstrate strong SAP technical, configuration, and business area knowledge in the PP module, with the ability to configure the module at a project level.
Familiarity with Variant Configuration in a manufacturing Make to Order scenario is required.
Translate user requests into application system solutions. Analyze system user requirements to define and design system configurations, enhancements, and modifications.
Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and associated application systems.
Define requirements for specific forms and reports.
Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test outcomes.
Assist in updating end-user documentation, coordinate end-user training materials, and provide training to end users as necessary.
Possess strong user experience and project experience with SAP, along with detailed technical configuration knowledge and business process expertise in SAP PP Modules. Knowledge of MM is advantageous.
Experience with PLM integration and its setup in SAP is preferred.
Additional familiarity with procurement and supply chain processes is preferred but not mandatory.
Prior experience in an S/4 environment is preferred, including the ability to articulate differences between R/3 and S/4.
Familiarity with working in an integrated SAP environment with a single controlling area across multiple countries and functions is essential.
Demonstrated understanding of database applications, system development, report writing, and SAP ERP.
Knowledge of SAP Best Practices is a plus.
