Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Consumers Energy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, controlling, and implementing electrical systems and products, as well as serving as the primary point of contact with clients for all electrical engineering project matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and products
  • Manage the development and implementation of electrical systems
  • Perform a wide range of engineering tasks, including operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment
  • Collaborate with customers, coworkers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects
  • Monitor project progress and budget, and prepare reports for upper management
  • Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements
  • Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications
  • Direct or coordinate installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
  • Write reports and compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies
  • Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited university plus Professional Engineering license
  • 4-7 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Master's degree in engineering preferred
  • Professional Engineer License preferred
