The Baylor Scott & White Health system is seeking a skilled Lung Transplant Physician to join its esteemed team at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients undergoing lung transplantation.
About the Position
This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to improving the lives of patients with advanced lung disease. The Center for Advanced Heart & Lung Disease has a very active research program with a strong supporting team and is involved in multiple clinical trials and registries.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the evaluation and management of patients with advanced lung disease, including those candidates for lung transplantation. They will also have the opportunity to be involved in the teaching of Texas A&M medical students, residents, and fellows, with an academic appointment commensurate to experience available.
Requirements
Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is required, along with completion of an accredited fellowship in Lung Transplantation or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, are essential for this role.
