CAT Scan Technologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CAT Scan Technologist to join our team at Summit Health Inc. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CAT scan examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and assist patients for CAT scan procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
* Review patient orders in advance to ensure proper exams have been requested and prepare the necessary equipment and materials.
* Educate patients about the procedures to be performed, including contrast material administration and its possible contraindications and adverse effects.
* Set up CAT scan equipment and apparatus, selecting appropriate protocols and techniques for each procedure.
* Obtain optimum quality CAT scan images through proper anatomical positioning, slice thickness, and other required techniques.

Requirements:

* New York State and/or Connecticut License and ARRT Certification with BD and CT modalities.
* Excellent patient and people skills, with the ability to maintain a great knowledge in human anatomy and cross-section anatomy, and pathology.
* Proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of protocols and scanning techniques.
* High knowledge with variety of routine procedures and applications.
