Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assisting Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Saint Johns River State College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching medical assisting courses on our Orange Park campus.

Responsibilities
  • Teach medical assisting courses to students, including lectures, labs, and clinical rotations.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students and the medical assisting profession.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in medical assisting education.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and college administrators to achieve college goals.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree from an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Credentialing as a medical assistant in good standing by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), or under International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
  • Experience related to the profession of medical assisting, medical or allied health training, or documented education in instructional methodology.
  • Ability to pass a background check, employment/reference check, and drug screening.
