Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in providing rehabilitation therapy procedures to patients under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. Your expertise will be essential in assisting with patients/caregiver education, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment programs to restore and return maximal function to patients, assessing effectiveness and modifying goals/treatment methods as needed.
  • Document patient treatment in compliance with department standards, medical-legal, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Train and educate other rehabilitation staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and rehabilitation services.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvement, patient satisfaction initiatives, program development, and marketing activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education in-services, competencies, and new concepts of patient care and additional skills with various population groups.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
  • LIC-Physical Therapist Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan (upon hire).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (90 days required) or ARC American Red Cross (90 days required).
  • LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan (Home Care Business Lines, upon hire).
