Job Summary:This is a travel nursing opportunity in a 42-bed CVICU at a top-ranked hospital. The unit specializes in open heart surgery, averaging 6-8 bypass pump surgical cases per day, as well as post-surgical heart transplants and LVAD. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of CVICU experience, including immediate post-open heart surgical admission experience, and experience with Swan Ganz catheters, manual thermodilution syringe, and epicardial and transvenous pacing wires.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Assist with care during bronchoscopies, intubations, tracheostomies, central line insertions, arterial line and Swan Ganz catheter line insertions
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- Immediate post-open heart surgical admission experience
- Experience with Swan Ganz catheters, manual thermodilution syringe, and epicardial and transvenous pacing wires
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
This is a travel nursing opportunity with a 7-day maximum RTO. The unit requires full compliance to start on time, and the pushback is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. The manager has 48 hours to review the profile/confirmation and determine if the unit/schedule/expertise fit.
