Family Medicine Physician

Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our medical clinical team.
Job Summary:This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse patient population. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for delivering preventive, diagnostic, treatment, patient education, and referral care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to patients, including health examinations and treatment of medical conditions.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, routine care, and coordinate care plans with patients' behavioral health providers when necessary.
- Make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines and external resources for additional services required.
- Prescribe medications for patients as indicated.
- Provide clinical consultation to other providers within the organization as needed.
- Oversee mid-level providers and medical students as assigned.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and clear medical record documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, guardians, and employees.
- Participate in an on-call system for after-hours care and inpatient population as assigned.
- Full licensure to practice medicine in the State of Kansas and/or Oklahoma.
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- Completion of residency in an appropriate specialty.
- Board certification in an appropriate specialty.
- A strong community/public health orientation is preferred.
- Commitment to serving the underserved.
- Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to an ethnically and economically diverse patient-and employee-base.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the rationale of appropriate patient care.
- Communicate effectively through proper channels and use the chain of command for patient complaints.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the EHR.
- Maintain good interpersonal relationships with coworkers and the healthcare team.
- Provide customer service in accordance with the organization's mission.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with organization policy and HIPAA requirements.
This position requires the ability to sit and/or stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Personal protective equipment is available.
Salary: Starting at $200,000. Pay based on experience.
