Recreation Therapist

Job Summary:

As a Recreation Therapist at LifeBridge Health, you will play a vital role in providing a continuum of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based leisure activities designed to meet the physical, cultural, spiritual, social, cognitive/intellectual, emotional, and creative needs and interests of assigned residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized leisure activity plans to promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication.
  • Conduct assessments to identify resident needs and preferences, and develop strategies to address them.
  • Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff on leisure activity-related topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recreation therapy.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in recreation therapy or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification and First Aid training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
