Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our outpatient clinic, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients, particularly in vaccination administration and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, collect and document patient information, and notify patients of normal results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to revise care plans and ensure patient safety.
  • Manage vaccine inventory, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with Health Department guidelines.
  • Provide education to patients and families on vaccination procedures and aftercare.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Hawaii State Board of Nursing-approved LPN licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous nursing experience, particularly in a clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
