We are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team as a travel nurse in a dynamic and challenging environment. As an ICU Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting, providing direct care and documenting patient information.
- Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating tasks to other care providers as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patient families, addressing long-term care needs and concerns.
- Perform a range of tasks, including administering medication, ordering diagnostic tests, and interpreting lab results.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, ensuring proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing.
- Communicate patient conditions to family members, providing clear and concise information.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- 2 years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
- Capacity to lift 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and prioritizing tasks effectively.
