Alabama Aerospace and Aviation High School is seeking a qualified Physical Education Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary

The Physical Education Instructor will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters physical fitness, health education, and social-emotional growth in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach physical education classes, including fitness, health, and sports education, to students in grades [insert grades].
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with state and national standards.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement a comprehensive physical education program.
  • Supervise students during physical education classes and extracurricular activities.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or a related field.
  • Valid Alabama teaching license with a physical education endorsement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Working Conditions

The Physical Education Instructor will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of students. The instructor will be required to stand, move, and engage in physical activity for extended periods.
