Patient Care Specialist

As a Patient Care Technician at CHRISTUS Health, you will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Our 27-bed unit, A9, focuses on neurological, thoracic, abdominal, and orthopedic trauma patients, as well as serving as the designated stroke overflow unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer patient calls and assist with daily living activities, such as eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Monitor and document patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and other essential signs, reporting any changes to nurses or doctors.
Assist nurses or doctors with medical procedures and wound care.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in a hospital setting is a plus.
BLS certification is required.
