Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently to transport goods within a local yard.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including hours of service, weight limits, and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other drivers, and company personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record.
  • At least 6 months of over-the-road experience with a Class A CDL.
  • No more than 2 preventable accidents in the most recent 3-year driving period.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and meet all medical requirements.
