Psychiatry Leader

Samuel Contract Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director of Outpatient Psychiatry to lead our dedicated team of mental health professionals.

As the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our outpatient psychiatric services. Your expertise and leadership will ensure that we continue to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients.

• Provide clinical guidance and oversight to the outpatient psychiatry team, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with case managers and therapists to deliver comprehensive, integrated treatment plans for each patient.
• Maintain manageable caseloads, ensuring dedicated time for thorough initial evaluations and follow-up appointments.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in psychiatric practice and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and actively participate in enhancing our psychiatric services.
• Cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and development among staff members.
• Serve as a liaison between the outpatient psychiatry department and other healthcare providers within our network.

• Possess a Medical degree from an accredited medical school and board certification in psychiatry (preferred).
• Have at least a couple of years of experience in outpatient psychiatry, with Community Mental Health (CMH) experience highly valued.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Be committed to providing patient-centered care that prioritizes whole-person health.
• Thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
• Hold eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Be proficient with electronic health record systems and relevant software applications.
