About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology Clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiation therapy to patients, ensuring accurate exposure of specific areas of the body to prescribed doses of radiation.
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, selecting anatomic parameters accurately and delivering patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
  • Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions and ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, ensuring all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and other departmental spaces.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
