Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Therapist for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a Therapist, you will provide comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations to deaf and hard of hearing adults and children with mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse challenges. Your goal will be to help individuals attain personal outcomes and lead full, meaningful lives.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate clinical intakes and assessments for adults and children with a wide variety of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges
Provide comprehensive clinical assessments to determine services needed and medically necessary
Effectively evaluate and treat clients
Formulate comprehensive person-centered treatment plans that are individualized to the individual/family's specific treatment needs and are based on clinical experience and knowledge
Utilize various, best practice therapy modalities of treatment
Provide individual and group therapy services to promote optimum mental health and overall wellbeing
Establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of individuals and families on service, other staff members, and community stakeholders in carrying out the goals and objectives of the treatment plan
Maintain and exhibit self-awareness and professional boundaries
Establish a non-threatening therapeutic treatment environment
Prepare/obtain correspondence reports as necessary to implement effective assessments, treatment plans, and therapy services
Perform clinical role consistent with RHA policy and procedures, State and Federal rules and statutes
Serve as a member of the QA Audit Team to review various charts for accuracy
Encourage individuals and families receiving services to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors and to develop insights into themselves, their relationships, and how to achieve their desired outcomes
Submit and obtain authorizations from Value Options and Local Management Entities
Ensure that services rendered to persons served are billable via management of cases and/or providing direct services
Ensure treatment service records are in compliance with and corrected in accordance to agency, state, local, federal, and accreditation standards
Ensure that documentation of service planning, authorization, billing, and provision is completed in a manner consistent with RHA policy and procedure and state rules, definitions, or laws
Ensure adherence to confidentiality of records and documentation consistent with HIPPA guidelines
Ensure that incident reports are completed and submitted to appropriate state/local agencies and consistent with RHA policy and procedure
Participate in treatment team meetings
Provide on-call/first responder services as scheduled at local office. Provide crisis intervention and response for individuals assigned to caseload or as additional on-call role.
Refer individuals inquiring about services or receiving services to appropriate community agencies and resources
Communicate ideas on improving services to Team Leader and/or Director
Provide clinical, technical assistance to team in case conceptualization, development, and/or implementation of PCP
Attend clinical team meetings
Coordinate clinical team meetings as requested or directed by the Director or Team Leader to enhance clinical knowledge and ensure quality provision of integrated services
Provide training to other teams on clinical and diagnostic material at the request of the Director or Vice President of Operations
Maintain consistent communication with Team Leader, Therapist, and State Director (as appropriate) regarding documentation, authorizations, consumer progress toward goals, and consumer satisfaction
Maintain regular contact with the persons served, their treatment teams, guardian, and significant others in the person's life
Provide clinical services and supports in attainment of budgetary goals
Collaborate with management to promote the growth of the company by making sound clinical decisions regarding revenue and expenditures as related to current and new services

Requirements:

Doctorate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, Sociology, or related field with at least two years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse clinical services experience; or
Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, Sociology, or related field with at least two years of mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse clinical services experience; or
Licensure or provisional licensure in one or more of the following categories: Psychologist (PhD-level), Licensed Psychological Associated (LPA), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nurse Practitioners approved to practice and certified by the American Nurses Credential Center as an advanced practice nurse practitioner in psychiatric nursing
Must have knowledge and experience with the age and population served
Fluent in sign language
Valid driver's license including personal vehicle coverage
