Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Intern Year, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team at Walgreens. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services that are within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services that are within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Learn and apply pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices to perform as a future pharmacist.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, providing a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills so you can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing.
