We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at UHS. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Responsibilities- Perform initial assessments and document patient care plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Initiate discharge planning for patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
- Calculate and titrate vasoactive drugs as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
- Care for patients receiving mechanical ventilation, including assessment of effective ventilation and suctioning techniques.
- Interpret cardiac arrhythmias and intervene appropriately, including alerting physicians to significant changes.
- Current California RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
- NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire.
- CCRN certification encouraged.
- One year of Critical Care experience preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
- BSN preferred.
