We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Syndications Manager, Senior to join our Capital Markets team at City National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for structuring and executing complex financial transactions, working closely with our Relationship Managers and other stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Structuring and Execution: Work with Relationship Managers to identify prospective clients for syndicated transactions, determine optimal capital structures, and negotiate and structure credit facilities that reflect market pricing and terms.
- Market Analysis and Advisory: Stay up-to-date on market conditions and trends, providing market feedback and advisory services to our coverage units, credit, and other internal parties.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing periodic market updates and conducting specific market testing for prospect transactions.
- Deal Team Management: Manage the distribution of work flow on deal teams to maximize efficiency, meet deadlines, and ensure successful transaction execution.
- Agency Services: Act as primary liaison between clients and potential lenders during the syndication process and post-closing, maintaining administrative agency functions such as data sites, financial reporting, and lender information requests.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 8 years banking experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience on the sell-side in capital markets
- Credit Training: Completion of credit training program
- Skills and Knowledge: MBA preferred, prior commercial or investment banking experience, expertise in structuring credits/loans for film/tv production, sports franchise financing, and music publishing, excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, competent with technology, proficient in Microsoft Office
City National Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting base salary of $141,830 - $263,408 per year, with the potential for bonus and/or commissions. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive and inclusive work environment.
