Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Broome-Tioga BOCES. The successful candidate will provide speech therapy services to students with disabilities in a center-based school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students related to individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure they understand student needs and can provide support in the classroom.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner as mandated by New York State and school policies.
Requirements
  • NYS Certification in Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities.
  • NYS licensure and ASHA certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of augmentative communication devices.
  • Experience with developmental disabilities, including autism, preferred.
  • A commitment to meeting the needs of every student and a strong belief that all students can succeed.
