Job Title: Controls Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to support our innovative automation projects. The ideal candidate will have a focus on machine automation, specification review, scope review, and quoting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and implement control systems for machine automation
* Perform thorough reviews of project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Conduct scope review to define project deliverables and ensure clarity for all stakeholders
* Prepare and review project quotes, ensuring all automation and control aspects are correctly accounted for
* Develop and maintain PLC programs to support automated systems
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve control system issues as they arise
* Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless project execution
* Maintain detailed documentation on control system design, programming, and operational processes
* Continuously optimize control systems for performance and reliability

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in control system design and programming, with a strong focus on PLCs
* Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
* Experience with machine automation and the integration of control systems
* Strong understanding of specification and scope review processes
* Experience with project quoting and budgeting
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in designing control systems for manufacturing or industrial applications
* Knowledge of HMI development and SCADA systems
* Project management experience is a plus

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 a year
