Mammography Technologist

At Akumin, we are seeking a skilled Mammographer to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Mammographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

• Perform mammogram exams on patients, ensuring thorough patient history and information collection.
• Obtain patient history, prior films/reports, and other supportive information as needed.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) for FDA/ACR compliance.
• Provide imaging support to other modalities in the center.
• Work with mammogram letters (results/reminders).

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Graduate of a State-approved Mammography program required.
• ARRT (M) certification required.
• State license required, if applicable.
• CPR Certification required.
• Valid state driver's license required, if applicable.
• Must have met initial requirements under MQSA standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

More than 50% of the time:

• Sit, stand, walk.
• Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
• See, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

• Stoop, kneel, or crawl.
• Climb and balance.
• Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
