About the Role

Gemini Legal Support Inc is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Process Server to join our Civil department. As a Process Server, you will be responsible for managing your schedule, expenses, and workload, creating efficient routes based on daily appointments and priority orders.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records, ensuring equipment functionality, and adhering to California's service of process regulations. You will handle paperwork meticulously, report issues with orders, and collaborate effectively with other departments.

This role requires a safe vehicle and up-to-date registrations, as well as the ability to optimize routes and handle confrontation calmly and professionally. Maintaining positive client and location relationships is key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily schedule, expenses, and workload
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment functionality
  • Adhere to California's service of process regulations
  • Handle paperwork meticulously and report issues with orders
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Optimize routes and handle confrontation calmly and professionally

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in a route-based position preferred, but not required
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and function in a fast-paced environment, on deadline
  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Proficient using a computer, business phone, office software, and other computer programs
  • Valid California driver's license and clean driving history
  • Reliable vehicle, current auto registration and current auto insurance
  • Adequate internet connection for home office
  • Exceptional teamwork
  • Follow dress code

Functional Requirements:

  • Lifting, bending, standing, climbing or walking while carrying out assigned duties
  • Lift, push, pull up to 35lbs
  • Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
  • Driving for extended periods of time, up to 4-6 hours in a day and up to 100-200 miles per day
