Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor teams in pre-construction and estimating, ensuring optimal service delivery and performance enhancement.
- Supervise and assess the final bidding processes, including subcontractor and supplier pricing, as well as proposals for both negotiated and competitive bid projects.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to finalize estimates, budgets, and value engineering initiatives, developing comprehensive cost models, budgets, spending forecasts, and timelines.
- Create competitive proposals for Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contracts and effectively communicate information to subcontractors and team members.
- Act as a liaison among clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, promoting effective communication and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in estimating for commercial or railroad construction.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing estimating or pre-construction teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with construction platforms such as Building Connected, Blue Book, and iSqFt is advantageous.
