Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting, a current California RN license, and a current California Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber License. They will be responsible for obtaining thorough patient histories, performing focused physical examinations, formulating treatment plans, and documenting findings in the patient's electronic medical record.
Key Responsibilities- Consultation: Obtain patient history, perform physical examination, formulate treatment plan, and document findings
- Demonstrate understanding of venous ultrasound and basic surgical skills
- Review pre-procedure instructions, explain procedure, and review procedural risks and benefits with the patient
- Obtain vascular access, perform conservative therapy evaluation, microsurgical phlebectomy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and visual sclerotherapy
- Maintain communication with referring clinicians and patients
- Educate and counsel patients, distribute educational materials, and document in the EMR
- Demonstrate teamwork, assist peers with documentation and case load, provide vacation coverage, and offer support when needed
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting
- Current California RN license and California Advance Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Basic knowledge of managed care and Medicare population
- Vascular procedural experience is a plus, with additional training provided
- Skilled in surgical techniques and excellent communication skills

Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, using hands, handling documents, bending, and stooping as needed. Strong vision abilities are required for extensive computer-related work.
