Touro University New York is seeking a qualified Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach courses in Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences at the Touro Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all areas of Social, Behavioral, and Administrative Sciences and a strong commitment to teaching and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a minimum of one professional level course, developing and delivering engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Prepare and distribute course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts, to support student learning.
- Record and report student data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support students in achieving their learning goals by:
- Focusing on student learning outcomes and developing strategies to improve student performance.
- Taking into account the needs and abilities of students and providing individualized support.
- Becoming familiar with academic and social support services available to students.
- Making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences and promote inclusivity.
- Maintaining the academic integrity of Touro Pharmacy and upholding the highest standards of academic excellence.
- Being available to assist students in achieving their learning goals and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- PharmD and State appropriate professional licensure.
- Residency or Fellowship (Preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience post-graduate.
- A high degree of interpersonal competency, including professionalism, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- Ability to be organized and have attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Able to lift up to 5 lbs.
Maximum Salary: USD $150.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary: USD $100.00/Hr.
