Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement measurement systems for ongoing and future engine development initiatives.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify issues with measurement instruments, including emissions devices, instrumentation, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) analysis, combustion evaluation, and other testing apparatus.
- Recommend and execute enhancements to measurement technology to comply with regulatory standards and boost testing efficiency.
- Evaluate test outcomes to confirm equipment performance and adherence to regulatory and internal specifications.
- Oversee calibration, quality assurance, and compliance activities for measurement devices, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking.
- Foster a collaborative network with relevant departments across various Rolls-Royce testing facilities, suppliers, and research institutions.
- Support other divisions such as engineering, production, and quality assurance.
- Plan, execute, and assess vibrational testing on prototype engines.
- Manage and report on project timelines, budgets, and progress.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Document work hours for financial tracking and auditing.
- Promote a culture of compliance within R&D, adhering to the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
- Engage in special projects as needed.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with 3 years of experience in measurement or emissions engineering related to internal combustion engines; or 7 years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of emission measurement technologies.
- Proficient in NVH measurement methodologies.
- Solid grasp of internal combustion engine principles.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing multiple projects.
- Strong analytical capabilities, particularly in complex problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Good presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Proficient in PC and MS Office Suite.
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience with various engine emissions measurement tools and technologies.
- Proficiency in the German language.
