VSP Ventures Optometric Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting Optometrists with eye examinations and patient eye care.

• Prepare patients for examinations by gathering information about their vision and medical history, explaining the exam process, and documenting all necessary information in the patient's record.
• Work well with technology and various clinical instruments, taking measurements, and administering tests to determine the visual capabilities of the patient in preparation for the vision examination.
• Perform contact lens insertion, educate and train patients on contact lens insertion and removal, and order contact lenses of various types of materials and designs.
• Administer topical ophthalmic and dilation medications, scribe for the doctor, and translate as needed.
• Prioritize patient care and patient flow while communicating effectively with doctors, staff, and patients.
• Perform therapy exercises or procedures with patients under the direction of the Optometrist, and assist in other areas of the office as necessary.

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and be available for incoming calls and inquiries.
• Effective written communication skills to clearly document patient visits.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify patient needs.
• Ability to listen, process transactions, and interact with patients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

The working environment is generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature. There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
