Job Summary

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Tampa invites applications for the position of part-time instructor for the General Physics Laboratory courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more 2-hour General Physics Laboratories per week for a semester, following the syllabus and laboratory manual prepared by the physics faculty.
  • Explain to students the experiments and expectations for each lab.
  • Assist students with apparatus set-up and data collection.
  • Set up and take down laboratory equipment as appropriate.
  • Provide meeting time for students.
  • Grade and return lab reports/worksheets to students in a timely fashion.
  • Submit final grades to physics lecture instructor(s).
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Master's Degree in physics or a related field.
  • Experience teaching introductory physics labs with PASCO or equivalent electronic probes and computer interfaces preferred.
