We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Northwest Real Estate Capital Corporation. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall physical condition of our properties, including grounds maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Grounds Maintenance: Perform regular grounds cleanup and maintenance, including lawn care, flowerbed maintenance, and trash pickup.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance on property equipment, fixtures, and appliances, including painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Turnover Process: Secure, clean, and repair units during the turnover process, including bed bug treatment as directed by the Regional Property Manager.
- Exterior Common Areas: Maintain exterior common areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, and building exteriors.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and complete incident reports as instructed.
- Preventative Maintenance: Complete and accurately document preventative maintenance activities through the Recurring Work Order process.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the Regional Property Manager and other team members to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent and technical training/experience in a building trade required.
- Experience: 2 years or more in skilled maintenance work required.
This position requires frequent exposure to seasonal conditions in outside weather and occasional exposure to grease, oil, chemicals, toxins or poisonous materials, dust, loud noises, high humidity, and electrical or mechanical hazards.
EquipmentFrequently required to operate power tools, hand tools, lawnmower, and other garden tools, snowblower, cleaning equipment, circuit tester, paint sprayer, etc.
