Position Overview

We are excited to announce new competitive compensation for our per diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist role.

Per Diem Expectations:

• Commitment to a minimum of 4 shifts monthly (8 or 10 hour shifts) in Nuclear Medicine, aligned with departmental requirements.
• Availability for at least 1 weekend of on-call duty each month (Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4pm).
• Willingness to cover a minimum of 2 holidays on-call annually (including Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving).

• Flexibility to provide coverage for sick or vacation leave as necessary.


Role Responsibilities:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist combines scientific expertise with proficient patient interaction to deliver exceptional patient care and valuable diagnostic insights.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, chemistry, nuclear physics, mathematics, and pharmacology.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals to generate diagnostic images and/or deliver therapy as prescribed by a physician.

• Ensures high-quality care for patients of all ages, employing professional judgment and critical thinking in all tasks.

• To maintain certification from CNMTB/ARRT, Nuclear Medicine Technologists are required to fulfill continuing education obligations to stay updated on advancements in the field.


Qualifications:
Educational Background:
• Associate Degree (2-year program)
Experience:
• Relevant professional experience in the field.
Certifications:
• BLS Certification
• CNMT Certification
• NMTCB certification or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine.

• Newly graduated Nuclear Medicine Technologists must achieve certification and registration (ARRT(N) and/or CNMT) within 6 months of graduation to maintain employment.
