Job Description

Proof of the Pudding, a premier food service provider, is seeking a Dishwasher Utility Assistant to join our team at Auburn University's Jordan-Hare Stadium. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen, washing and sorting dishes, and prepping foods as needed. You will also be responsible for setting up dish stations, maintaining clean floors, and assisting with food deliveries and suite cleanups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean kitchen, properly wash and sort soiled dishes, and prep foods as needed.
  • Set up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
  • Maintain clean and dry floors throughout the shift.
  • Properly wash, stack, and store China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Change water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly use chemical dilutions set by Ecolab.
  • Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries.
  • Help deliver food to suites on game days.
  • Pre-bussing and assist in the cleanup of suite areas and kitchen/pantries.
  • Maintain trash cans throughout the shift and remove full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing China and warehouse.
  • Follow the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must live in or near Auburn, AL.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or as a steward is preferred, experience in customer service role is preferred.
  • ServSafe Certified preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Uniform Requirements:

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces. Traveling throughout the event space in different terrains.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to lifting up-to 30 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
  • Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
