About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrology Faculty member to join our team at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Texas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and a passion for teaching and patient care.

Job Summary

This is a $250,000 - $300,000 per year salary opportunity for a board-eligible or board-certified Nephrologist with experience in academic medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to obtain a Texas Medical License and have completed a Nephrology Fellowship program.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the treatment of internal disorders.
  • Analyze records, reports, test results, and examination information to diagnose the patient's medical condition.
  • Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care, including diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures and presentations on internal medicine to medical students and residents regarding training in various clinical settings, such as hospitals and outpatient clinics.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
  • Completion of, or in the process of completing a Nephrology Fellowship program.
  • Board eligible or in the process of completing a Fellowship, in Nephrology.
  • Ability to obtain a TX Medical License.
