Job Title: RN - L&D

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse. As an L&D nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians to manage pain, anxiety, and other complications during labor and delivery.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhages, to provide timely and effective care.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of New Mexico.
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of stress and pressure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
