Position Overview:
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is in search of a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for school settings.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will conduct evaluations for students and provide therapy services while meticulously documenting progress in alignment with individualized care plans and physician directives.

Job Details:

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Typical Hours: 8:00am – 3:30/4pm
  • Compensation: $65 - $85 per hour, based on experience
Weekly pay periods
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Qualifications:
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment is mandatory.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred and may be required by state or contract regulations.
Compliance with professional standards and practices is essential.
Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant; experience in home care is advantageous.
Current certification as required by state regulations is necessary.
Documentation of PPD or chest X-ray results, if applicable.
Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and clients; proficiency in English may be necessary.
Computer skills are essential.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of students' communication abilities (e.g., articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language) to identify communication disorders, determine eligibility for programs, and formulate treatment recommendations.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to share information, resolve issues, and deliver services in accordance with established guidelines.
Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g., testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences) to present evaluation findings, develop treatment plans, and provide training to parents, students, and staff.
Design treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to mitigate the impact of communication disorders while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Instruct eligible students on the use of communication technologies (e.g., hearing aids, FM systems, augmentative communication devices) to reduce the educational impact of communication disorders in compliance with legal standards.
Maintain accurate records (e.g., progress reports, treatment plans, billing information) to ensure information availability for reference and compliance.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to exchange information and enhance professional development.
Deliver speech and language therapy to students to alleviate the negative effects of speech and language disorders on academic success.
Engage in professional development opportunities while adhering to policies and regulations from governing bodies and applicable laws.
Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.
