About the Role

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a physical therapist to assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan. This role involves providing, monitoring, and recording therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental impairments.

Responsibilities
  • Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels, patient's goals, and practice setting requirements
  • Contribute to the process by exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about patient responses and communications during intervention
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable about targeted physical therapy outcomes and for providing information and documentation related to outcome achievement
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have an appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure, as well as a graduate degree from an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

You must also be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice and conform to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment, and when applicable, may require a valid driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $22.50 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and work/life balance benefits.
