Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Construction Inspector to join our team at CDM Smith. As a key member of our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection group, you will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring construction activities at project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to evaluate compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions.
  • Use advanced equipment and perform complex calculations to ensure accurate inspections.
  • Work under limited supervision or direct supervision, depending on the assignment.
  • Review drawings and plans to prepare for construction inspections.
  • Document and communicate inspection results to supervisors.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications from a State Highway Agency or National Entity, such as ACI or NICET, in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete.
  • 6 years of related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
