Banquet Captain

The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe, a premier venue located in Canonsburg, is seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to join their team. As a key member of the banquet staff, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service throughout events. Our 20,000 square feet of flexible event space makes us an ideal choice for corporate meetings, intimate gatherings, and extraordinary weddings.

The Banquet Captain will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of banquet staff, coordinating all banquet staff in servicing and training, and executing all event orders. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Supervise and lead a team of banquet staff
• Coordinate all banquet staff in servicing and training
• Execute all event orders
• Set up meeting rooms and ballrooms for banquets, meetings, and other social functions
• Work closely with other departments in the hotel to ensure events run smoothly and client needs are met

• High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 3 years related experience
• Banquet experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts
• Outstanding people skills
• Trustworthy and results-driven
• Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits
