Job Summary:

The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing and producing diagnostic images across various procedures, including CT, XR, and MRI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute duties across two imaging modalities, such as XR, CT, MRI, ARRT, or RDMS.
  • Safely operate imaging equipment and accessories to mitigate risks to patients and equipment.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and sequences based on multiple factors.
  • Possess knowledge of workflows, procedures, and processes related to imaging modalities.
  • Perform venipuncture, including the initiation, maintenance, and removal of intravenous access.
  • Ensure radiation protection and other safety measures specific to the modalities.
  • Gather and confirm patient clinical history and laboratory results.
  • Utilize point-of-care devices for laboratory work.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institution for an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program or an accredited School of Ultrasound/Medical Sonography (preferred).
  • Associate of Applied Science in Imaging (preferred).

Licensure and Certification:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
  • State Licensure Certification (preferred or required by state regulations).
  • Registration with ARRT, RDMS, or CNMT (required).
  • Competency in two of the following modalities with certification to be obtained within 12 months:
    • Bone Densitometry (BD)
    • Breast Sonography (BS)
    • Radiologic Technology (R)
    • Computed Tomography (CT)
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
    • Ultrasonography (S)
    • Nuclear Medicine (N)
    • Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
    • Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI)
    • Cardiac Sonographer (CS)
    • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI)
    • Mammography (M)
    • Vascular Sonography (VS)
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Training:

  • Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred).
  • Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Radiology Information System (RIS) (preferred).
  • Experience with IV Contrast Administration (preferred).
