Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to join our team. As a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing hospital work queues, screening patients for eligibility, and completing applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review hospital work queues to identify uninsured patients
  • Screen patients bedside in an Emergency Room/Hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for assistance programs
  • Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients
  • Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patients' privacy
  • Meet production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management
Requirements:
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to multitask and type minimum 40 WPM
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Good attendance and dependability essential
  • Successful completion of drug and background test required
