As a primary care physician with WVU Medicine, you will have the opportunity to practice medicine in a small town setting with the resources of a large health system. Our Wetzel County Hospital provides access to a range of medical specialties and has a well-established practice with exceptional partners and support.
We are looking for a candidate with an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license. A completed Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics residency program and board certification / eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine-Pediatrics are also required.
The WVU Health System has undergone significant expansion in specialty and sub-specialty care, including cancer, heart and vascular, and neuroscience. We operate West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center and opened a new, 150-bed Children's Hospital in September 2022.
