Boiler Plant Operator

The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a skilled Boiler Plant Operator to join our team. As a Boiler Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, adjustment, and minor repair of high-pressure steam boilers, potable water pumping and chlorinating equipment, and other auxiliary equipment.

• Operate and maintain four water tube combination oil and natural gas fired, high-pressure steam boilers
• Monitor and control the operation of potable water pumping and chlorinating equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on boiler plant auxiliary equipment
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boiler plant
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve operational goals

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in boiler operation and maintenance preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment

The Boiler Plant Operator will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to loud noises, extreme temperatures, and hazardous materials. The position requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment and to lift heavy objects.
