Position Summary:
The role of the Emergency Medical Technician/Security Officer involves conducting regular security assessments throughout the community. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of all entrances, monitoring outdoor lighting, managing residential alerts, performing radio checks, and documenting any irregularities. This position also requires providing immediate medical assistance to residents in need.

Shifts Available:

  • Sunday - Thursday: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Per Diem Opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Connecticut Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) with at least one year of experience

  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License
  • Proficient documentation skills for care provided, including timely written and verbal reports
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions in English; capable of writing routine reports and interpreting safety documents
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with staff, residents, visitors, and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize responsibilities
  • Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work overtime as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages, particularly the elderly
