Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist residents with daily activities, provide nursing functions, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bladder functions, preparations for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care, and positioning in and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
  • Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor, including daily perennial care, catheter care, turn residents in bed, all bathing, measure and record temperature, pulse, and respiration, weigh and measure residents, perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and observe and report presence of skin breakdowns.
  • Prepare patients for meals and snacks, identify food arrangements, and assist in feeding residents as needed, record food and fluid intake, and perform after-meal patient care as needed.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality, treat patients with kindness, dignity, and respect, and promptly report all patient complaints, accidents, and incidents to the supervisor.
  • Assist as directed in proper admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, inventory resident possessions, and report food articles and medications found in patient rooms, and report defective equipment to administration.

Requirements:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or license eligible in the state of employment.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
