Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector

At JM Chandler Dream Builders, we are seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting visual inspections and PSM evaluations, as well as performing MT, PT, UTT, UTS, Phased Array UT, MFE, and Vacuum Box testing techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual inspections and PSM evaluations of pressure vessels, storage tanks, process piping, and structural steel projects.
  • Perform MT, PT, UTT, UTS, Phased Array UT, MFE, and Vacuum Box testing techniques.
  • Load testing components using portable hydraulic systems and calibrated load cells.
  • Write technical reports and complete Code calculations for inspections performed.
  • Project management duties for PSM and structural related projects.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and promote SID to new clientele.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years inspection experience in vessel, tank, piping, and/or structural steel industry.
  • Current API 510, 653, and/or 570 certification or able to pass the exam within 6 months.
  • NDT certifications or qualifiable to NDT Level 11 in UT, MT, PT, & MFE.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard codes CAWS, API, ASME, NACE, ANSI.
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and AutoCAD proficiency).
