Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Process Optimization Specialist to provide day-to-day engineering support for our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving product yield, process efficiency, and product quality through innovative solutions, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, product quality/yield, and manufacturing effectiveness by resolving process challenges.
  • Assist in optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve sustainable improvements in cost and product performance through capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural enhancements.
  • Support the resolution of customer technical/quality issues and contribute to the development of special products.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and enhance overall business performance.
  • Conduct engineering studies to improve process capability and reduce variability.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation such as process flow diagrams, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical support for the introduction of new equipment and technology upgrades.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement process control strategies to ensure consistency and quality in production.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process deviations and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for process operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with engineering modeling and design software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct statistical analysis and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar is a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Estimated Salary: $92,000 - $122,000 per year
